Pa’ la Bodega

Thirty nights to Christmas Eve

The story now runs from Wednesday, November 25 to Nochebuena, with power cuts most nights and every way Venezuelans pay.

Pa’ la Bodega now has its full story: thirty nights, from Wednesday, November 25 to Christmas Eve. You start at the barred window of your house in the barrio and the goal is in sight from the first night: save $500 and move into El Abasto, next door.

What the barrio throws at you:

  • Every way to pay. Pago móvil with fake screenshots that never arrive, card, biopago, cash in dollars or in bolívares at the day’s rate, which goes up every night. Change in dollars, bolívares, pago móvil or candy.
  • Power cuts. Almost every night. Light a candle at the window, grab the flashlight, and forget the card machine until the power comes back.
  • Thieves. They take things when you are not looking. Catch them and they go on the wall of shame. Hit the wrong customer and the whole street hears about it.

The game is in Spanish, with each customer speaking like their region, swear words included. It is for adults, 18+.
